Win $1 million for perfect game in MLB 2K11 !

Loosen up your arm and take to your Xbox 360 or PlayStation

3--there's $1 million on the line.

Starting tomorrow, Take-Two Interactive and Major League

Baseball Properties are kicking off the Major League

Baseball 2K11 Perfect Game Challenge, which will

award $1 million to the first gamer to throw a perfect

game in the recently released MLB 2K11.

A perfect game is one of the most impressive feats in baseball.

A single pitcher takes the mound and retires all 27 batters

without a single opposing player reaching base.

Just 18 pitchers in the modern era have thrown

a perfect game, making it one of the most exclusive

clubs in all of sports.

In order to win the $1 million, gamers must buy either

the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version of MLB 2K11.

They then must start a video recording that commences

at least five seconds prior to turning on the television or game

console. After choosing their desired team match-up,

they need to keep the video rolling as they throw a perfect game

without making any pitching substitutions,

calling a coach to the mound, or pausing the game.

If a player throws a perfect game, MLB 2K11 will display a code

on the screen that must be input on the 2K Sports Web site.

Once the game company can verify the perfect game

by watching the video (which must be sent to 2K Sports

via snail mail), they will win the $1 million.

Though it is extremely rare to throw a perfect game,

it's not impossible.

Last year, 2K Sports awarded Wade McGilberry of Semmes,

Ala., $1 million for being the first to throw a perfect game

in MLB 2K10.

The Major League Baseball 2K11 Challenge opens at 9 p.m.

PT tonight and runs through September 28.

Entrants must be 13 years of age or older to win the prize.
