How the iPhone will ruin your love life

Your iPhone has a feature called auto-correct and that's fine, dandy and useful

— except when it results in humiliation and canceled dates.

You see, the auto-correct feature is there to help prevent typos.

It automatically offers a suggestion when it thinks you've misspelled a

word and substitutes it for whatever you've typed out, unless you tap

an "x" button to ignore the suggestion.

Yes, this means that the feature sometimes has a mind of its own and changes what you're trying to say entirely.
Most people first encounter this quirk when they find themselves talking about ducking when they're trying to curse up a storm, but there are definitely plenty of other similarly annoying "corrections" which will make your life difficult. The talented folks at CollegeHumor have created a video to demonstrate just how bad this can get — and how it could put a damper on romance.
Take a look at it below, but heads up! There are a few words in this video which might offend the more sensitive listeners — or bosses who might be within earshot.
